What’s for dinner? Such a common question. But it’s 1:29 pm in the afternoon and I’m already thinking about my next meal. It’s important for me to know what my next meal is and when I’m going to eat it. Food is a VERY BIG part of my life and to “manage” it I have to be in control. When someone says “I forgot to eat,” I think one of two things – 1) they are lying or 2) they are some kind of stupid. Really, forget to eat? It’s never happened to me. In all seriousness, it’s true people are different and some people just don’t think of food like I do. So for me, I need to know what I’m going to eat ahead of time. It is the best way for me to manage and stay in control. This doesn’t mean I can’t be spontaneous and go out to dinner or have a fun weekend or a holiday party with family. It just means on any regular ordinary day, usually at the beginning of the week, it’s good for me to have my meals planned out. It’s even more important for me to know what my workout routine will be and what my calorie intake will be for that day. If I tell myself that in the morning, then when 5pm rolls around I’m not trying to figure it out while I’m grazing through the kitchen.
